Woooooooooooooooh!
After 6 months of filling out applications, 5 interviews, and lots of frustration, I finally got a job!
Unfortunately, it is at another sub shop.. but I have so much experience that he hired me on the spot.
FYI, this is my third job at a deli, and all three times I have been hired on the spot (the first time I was hired as I turned in my application, and the other two after the interview). There have been plenty of jokes in my household (mostly from Chris) but its all in good fun. In today's economy, you gotta go with what you know... and unfortunately, I know subs.
Did I mention that my job is full time? This month marks a year since I have had a job, and although I am excited to go back to work, the idea of working 35 hours a week for the first time is a little daunting. I guess it will be less hours than going to school full time and working part time though.
All in all, I'm pretty darn excited. Chris and I decided that we are going to go car shopping in July! Well, I guess I better go get ready for my first day : )
congratulations!! and hope your first day is amazing... after not working and then going back to full-time i have to say i was a little exhausted, but you'll get back into the swing of things quickly!
